About the Artist
I started drawing when I was in first grade. At that time, I drew cartoons and had drawn every Peanut character which was then displayed in all four classrooms of the grade school I attended (St. Helena's). I continued to doodle and draw throughout my school years and majored in Vocational Art in high school (Cardinal Dougherty). I was looked upon as a natural born artist, one who had the ability to create without being taught. I was accepted to several art colleges but ended up not attending due to the amount of money it would have cost. I continued to dabble with the art and then stopped for many many years for one reason or another.
It took one painting for a friend and the loss of my job to inspire me to pick it up again. That painting of the Bulldog is the cover art for this webpage and can be seen under my Portfolio page, "Henry - Wendy's Angel".
My next paintings will be of my own dogs, Huey and Luigi and Kebi and Norbert who are in their respective pet homes enjoying the good life as a dog should.
I reside in Reading, PA and am a mother to two children, Andrew who is 28 and Jess who is 17, both very gifted in their own fields. I have also had bred and exhibited Bulldogs and Boxers but have since scaled way down to only my 2 boys, Huey and Luigi, which gives me the time to pursue my God given talent for drawing and painting.
